What ES-DE will do is to look for _rpcs3.AppImage_ in the system PATH as well as in the following locations:

When downloading the AppImage from [https://rpcs3.net](https://rpcs3.net) it will be named something like `rpcs3-v0.0.19-13103-cc21d1b3_linux64.AppImage`, just rename this to rpcs3.AppImage and everything should work correctly. Another approach is to make a symlink named rpcs3.AppImage, either way will work fine.

As for the game installation on both Windows and Linux, you need to retain the directory structure of the Blu-ray disc or the directory created by installing the .pkg file. Each directory needs to be renamed by adding the .ps3dir extension, which will make ES-DE interpret the directory as if it were a file and pass that directory to the emulator when launching a game.
